My "Songs of 2016"

I wanted to recap this like..a couple of weeks ago but I had things to get done and motorbike crash recently so…here I am! Anyway, here are songs that came along with me all the way this year.

Drag Me Down – One Direction

It’s like a guilty pleasure for me to listen to this song. Not to mention that I did not even download it whatever. I spent my little time of 2016 in a city of Jogjakarta, a mini sultanate kingdom in central Java. I was there for travelling, and yeah, finally looking for a job and planned to settle there, but it didn’t work pretty well. Almost every day I listed to this song, in minimarket, in shopping malls, on the bus, taxis, and yeah, nobody can drag this song down. What the hell.

Stand by You – Rachel Platten
This one came along my days in Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan. I was there for three and a half months, working, travelling sometimes and yup, spending my time with my mother and father. It was soo good to be back there again one day!

Nos Vies Paralleles – Anggun feat. Florent Pagny
What I love most is the music sounds so summer.  I do not even know the meaning (only some of the words and the Spanish part) as it is  a French song, But Anggun and Florent Pagny did a very good job.

We Don’t Talk Anymore – Charlie Puth feat. Selena Gomez
Selena Gomez is the guilty pleasure of 2016. Her soft and sexy voice is inviting. I love this collaboration and I couldn’t stop singing it.

Joanne (Album) – Lady Gaga
Joanne is the most personal Lady Gaga’s album so far and yup, the best one. I do love this album and every song in it. Starting with the release of “Perfect Illusion” which was a warm up, then A Million Reasons which was deep and moving, this album is epic. What I love most is that Gaga sounds rock here, and every song has a meaning, like Hey Girl, Joanne, Angel Down, John Wayne, etc. This album won’t be apart with my daily anytime soon. Love this.

So, here are my songs of 2016. What are yours? Anyway, Happy New Year 2017!!!
